The Following services are provided by the Directorate of Distance Education, Patna University to its students. 1. Students are provided with the printed self instructional study materials for the courses offered by them. The study materials(Lessons) are in two languages, Hindi and English. These study materials are generally given to the students at thee DDE counters just after their admissions. To those who fail to get it there, these one sent by post. 2. The DDE has a big book-bank containing text books for various courses. In addition to these , there are many other books of various fields. A student of DDE may become a member of this book-bank and take advantage of it. In addition to it the students can read at the Patna University central library also. 3. For each courses, teachers-students contact classes are organised. These classes are held at Patna only and the students are informed about the programme of these classes by post or through advertisement in the newspaper. The teachers engaging these classes are generally the senior teacher of the Patna University. 4. The students of the DDE may consult the teachers at the DDE personally and discuss their difficulties in the subjects they have offered. 5. Each student is informed of the examination programmes, contact classes etc. by post. 6. Students' enquiry on telephone are replied promptly. 7. Each students is provided with an identity card. |
